General introduction

The Urban Technical Infrastructure Planning specialized group is a young specialized group (established in 2009), part of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning (which includes 10 specialized groups), with a teaching staff of 6 members, including: 01 Associate Professor, 01 Doctor, and 04 Masters. Currently, the specialized group is responsible for teaching courses to the majority of students in the school, including theoretical classes, projects, and graduation theses related to the field of Technical Infrastructure and Urban Planning. At the same time, the specialized group is the unit responsible for the Urban Engineering (IU) major, which is one of the three high-quality engineering programs (PFIEV), a collaboration between the Vietnamese and French governments. In addition, the specialized group is also responsible for teaching several theoretical courses in the school's Master's in Architecture program and has successfully guided many graduate students.

The expert group participates in many scientific research projects at the protocol level, state level, and ministry and department level (such as the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Construction, the Urban Development Planning Association, the Architects Association...) and practical application research in collaboration with international organizations (World Bank, JICA, UNDP, UNHABITAT). The expert group has also served as chief editors and participated in compiling and developing numerous curricula, textbooks, and reference books...

In addition, the teachers in the specialized group also have extensive experience in implementing practical planning and design projects in major cities and provinces.

Achievement

Although newly established, the professional group has achieved advanced collective labor accomplishments in the years 2011–2012, 2012–2013, 2013–2014, and 2014–2015.
