General introduction

Landscape Architecture is a comprehensive scientific field that harmoniously applies principles of science and art, closely related to various other fields to address issues of organizing recreational environments, establishing and rehabilitating ecosystems, protecting the environment, and organizing architectural art. Its aim is to create a harmonious and sustainable relationship between Nature - Humanity - Architecture, increasingly meeting the needs and challenges of today's society. Therefore, the Landscape Architecture Professional Group was established in 2009, under the Faculty of Architecture and Planning at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, to meet the demand for training architects with expertise in Landscape Architecture and to educate specialists in the field of Landscape Architecture. Currently, the specialized group has 8 lecturers; among them, there are 3 PhDs and 5 master's degree holders. Additionally, the specialized group collaborates with a team of experts and visiting lecturers both domestically and internationally.

The specialized group is responsible for teaching subjects to university students (theory of basic and specialized fields, course projects, graduation projects) related to the fields of landscape architecture, urban planning, and architecture. The lecturers of the specialized group participate in many scientific research projects at various levels, such as protocols, state level, ministry level, city level, and department level (such as Hanoi City, Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Construction, Urban Development Planning Association, Architects Association...). The lecturers of the specialized group have also served as chief editors and contributed to writing numerous textbooks, lecture notes, monographs, and encyclopedias in the field of Landscape Architecture... In addition, the lecturers in the specialized group also have extensive experience in implementing practical projects on landscape planning and design in various provinces and cities across the country.
