General introduction

The Art Foundation Professional Group was established in 1969, led in its early years by Associate Professor Dr. Nguyễn Kim Luyện, Architect Nguyễn Nghi, and Associate Professor Dr. Lê Đức Lai. The specialized group currently has 8 teaching staff, including 3 Doctors and 5 Masters. 

The expert group has made significant contributions to the School as well as to the Faculty of Architecture & Urban Planning in training domestic and international architecture students, guiding students to participate in national architecture festival competitions and win numerous awards, and advising students to take part in logo, symbol, and monument design competitions...

Participate in the school's scientific research activities, write articles for specialized journals, compile new lesson plans and curricula, and update knowledge.

Field of professional activity

The specialized group responsible for the subject is part of the foundational knowledge system for students majoring in architecture, urban planning, and architecture – interior design. The courses provided by the department offer a foundational body of knowledge on the elements of esthetics and the principles of esthetics applied to design.

Development orientation

The expert group is currently in the process of innovating and refining the teaching content, updating it with the body of knowledge in applied fine arts that is widely used across many countries.

In the long-term plan, the expert group aims for a profound and comprehensive cultural and esthetic education program, collaborating with specialized subjects to train creative and talented architects.
